My yummy, EASY, “Faux Fudge” treat!

So a long time ago I found a recipe for something they called “two ingredient fudge”. It wasn’t that good or really fudge. They used strawberry flavors and personally I was appalled they would sully the good name of FUDGE! lol I improved upon this idea yet sadly I can’t find the original recipe and I’m sorry.

What you need:
Peanut butter flavored chips (1 bag)
White  chocolate chips (1 bag)
Chocolate cake frosting (1 jar)
Milk (splash)
Vanilla extract (splash)

Milk ingredient not picture because I’m a dummy! lol

Dump out the frosting into a medium mixing bowl and set aside. In a medium sauce pan, pour out both bags of chips. Add a tiny splash of both vanilla and milk into the chips and setting the heat to low, melt those chips! After they are melted together, pour it out into your bowl of frosting and mix together. Line a 9×9 metal cooking dish with wax paper/parchment paper and pour the mixture in. Set in freezer for approximately an hour. Easy peasy faux fudgeasy!

Ready for the freezer!

I am warning you, it is soooo good yet only try small pieces because it’s very rich! Get a bunch a milk to go with it. lol Enjoy!

I love my family!

So my family has come together to help me with a problem I have dealing with severe TMJ problems. I am needing surgery and I am so happy that they are working so hard to help raise the funds for this. I can’t say how blessed I am that these people in my life have done this wonderful thing for me. Anywho, my cousin put this website/blog together to raise everyone’s awareness about what’s going on and to have people donate. I’d love for you to take a look at all the hard work he did! Click the link below the photo!

Hope you read all about it and can appreciate what they are trying to do for me as much I do! Thanks!

Real nerd props!

It is just evolutionary sense that you hear a lot of women say that they are attracted to nerds, dorks, and geeks. Back in the old days, old being 80’s and beyond, women were supposed to be attracted to the brawny and not the brainy. It mattered still that your man was fit and could provide. Fit in the way that you wanted to bare their children so you’d have healthy and strong offspring that could fend for themselves and grow up to hunt and provide and thus continue the great circle of life.

In this age, a lot of women are starting to realize that the proper man to seek out, that one who is there to provide, is no longer the brawny but the brainy. We live in the days of technology and science. They realize this and then say “I like nerds, they’re hot.”. MOST are wrong. They are looking at those aforementioned brawny men dressed in costume or they are only “geek chic” dressed men. At first glance they are attracted to the possibility of being with a man who is very intelligent.

Sorry, that is only a model thinking he's a geek.

So what is my view on nerds? I love them! The real nerds and not the geeks. Yeah they are skinny, cowards, socially awkward, and typically have a host of health problems. I find them absolutely adorable! You nerd boys are smart, can keep up with me on the computer and help me with video games! I won’t even start on what excellent boyfriends they make. Nerds are loyal and are more than eager to please!

I found this info-graphic that’s very popular that’ll help you distinguish which I like best. It’s the nerd. (click on the photo to see the site where you can make it larger)

Pintrest Post: Glowing Mt. Dew? It doesn’t work!!

So there are loads of popular pins on Pinterest that get re-pinned over and over again and I am featuring one today. Most of my Pinterest Posts are about the pins that I find, try and enjoy or used. However, this post will be about one that is totally FAKE!

Glowing Mt. Dew

Glowing Mt. Dew how-to?

Now this has been proven on other websites that this project is indeed fake. The video showing how to make this bottle of glowing Mt. Dew with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide has been altered somehow to show that it does work. You can find it here. I can guarantee first hand now that this how-to does NOT work and it is a hoax to mess with or troll people. Why? I don’t know. But I sure wasted time and a tiny bit of money trying this out. Ha-ha they sure got me! *eye roll*

So please do me a favor, stop re-pinning this particular project on Pinterest (like my use of alliteration? LOL). Pin this one instead!! Share how it is fake, not how cool it sounds or might be! Please pass on knowledge and encourage others to re-pin for a less ignorant internet!! Huz-ah!!

“Melties Goop”

Here is a fun project to play with your kids! When I was a little girl in Sunday School, one of the teachers made this for us. I had to figure out how to make it again for my daughter. I don’t have a name for it so I asked my 5 year old what it should be called and well, we now call it “Melties” or “Melties Goop”. It’s also a great tool to teach your kids about liquids and solids. This goop stuff is quite easy to make and takes no time at all! Here is what you need:

2/3 cups cornstarch
1 teaspoon Borax
2/3 cups hot water

Instructions: In a bowl pour out the cornstarch and then add the borax. Mix that powder combo together and then add your hot water. Mix it well. The mixture will be thick and hard so I would suggest using your hands or a fork. If it’s too powdery then add a tiny bit of water, if it’s too watery then add a little bit more cornstarch. You can tell that it’s done by playing with it. If left alone, it’ll look like melted cream of sorts. If you touch it, it’ll firm up.

FUN! You can roll up a ball and feel it as a firm substance. Then put the ball down onto the plate and watch it slowly melt back into a liquid state. We played for an hour and a half with this. Enjoy!

Transformation movies?

First things first; I am not a girly girl. I don’t cry at movies or tv, I hate going shopping, and my favorite movies list hardly contains “chick flicks”. HOWEVER! I have this weird obsession with movies where the main character goes through some sort of magical transformation or super amazing make over. Some of the following I just love; “13 Going On 30”, “Pretty Woman”, and of course

"Princess Diaries"

For the longest time I never even realized why I liked these films. I knew for certain that it wasn’t the actual lovey dovey romantic factor of them. I also knew it wasn’t the style of film or the people in them. Then it hit me! It hit me like the front side of a barn. Ouch! It’s the actual fact that a woman/girl gets to go through this wonderful, easy, and amazing transformation from the ugly to the beautiful.

Oh dear readers, this is only the tip of the ice burg when I say that I have REALLY low self-image. Not in the typical female fashion of “I wish my wrists were more pretty. I’M SO UGLY!” kind of way or something just as silly. I mean it’s really poor. I look in the mirror and

I feel the need to do this!

Then I get asked if I loved those plastic surgery shows like “Extreme Makeover” or “The Swan”. Meh. I really did at first. In fact I wanted nothing more to be on those shows. I dreamed about it like mad. Sadly I couldn’t be on those shows so in turn I started to get really bitter and angry every time those were on. Oh yeah, I was jealousies bitch. It was just too real and in my face. These movies that I’m talking about aren’t messy, in-depth, or real. Either someone just needs to get a flat-iron or a fairy Godmother and BAM! they’ve gone from ugly Betty to a fab Bambi!

Of course along the way the main character who undergoes this grandiose switch on the outside also “finds themselves” along the way and it’s a happy ending. I’m not just obsessed with looking awesome on the outside, I too want to “find myself” here people! HAHA Don’t you see the hilarity here?! Well, I do!
Here’s to your happy ending and any weird movie obsessions you may have! Cheers!

Pinterest Posts-“Clean Clouds”

Today’s Pinterest Post is about a fun project called “Clean Clouds”. It’s super fun and cheap to make. I mean it guys, VERY fun!! More fun than playdoh or moondoh or any of those other dohs! SERIOUSLY!

Skeptical baby Taylor is skeptical.

YA REALLY!

I did this with my kiddo and I had a blast squishing this texturey stuff and throwing it at one another (never letting it get too close because there is soap in it and we don’t want it in the eyes now!). Taylor thought it was great too and enjoyed the process of making it and I loved the benefit of having clean and soft hands afterwards. I found it on Pinterest and it linked me over to Play At Home Mom LLC‘s blog. There are very good instructions on how to make it there but all you need is a regular bar of soap, a roll of toilet paper, and water. Enjoy!

Taco Casserole Recipe by Dana Wilson

Here is an original recipe that I created after reading about 10 different other taco casseroles. It is delicious, cheap and filling!

Ingredients:
1 large bag of Nacho flavored Doritos chips
1 1/2 cups of lite sour cream
1 bag of “twisted” noodles (I don’t know what to call them but they are all twisty lol)
2 bags of shredded “taco blend” cheese
2 packs of taco seasoning powder
1 jar of meat flavored spaghetti sauce
1 lb of ground beef

The instructions are quite simple:
Crunch of the bag of chips till they are very fine.
Mix half of the jar of spaghetti sauce with sour cream and 1 package of taco seasoning together and set aside.
Begin browning the ground beef then mix the other taco seasoning packet with water and pour half of it onto the browning beef. Once the beef is mostly done (drain oil/fat if need be), pour the sour cream and spaghetti sauce mixture into the pan and let simmer.
During which boil your noodles.

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a 9×13 glass pan, pour a light layer of crushed chips on the bottom. Add a layer of noodles, a thick layer of shredded cheese, then pour the meat and sauce over all of it. Add another layer of cheese and crushed chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Voila!

Pinterest Post-Make your own Febreze!

So loads of us have been on or heard of this addiction to the website called Pintrest. Loads of us will pin things and then pay them no mind later on. I have been trying to do as much of it as I can and I plan on posting blogs about them so you can hear first hand from me  about them. I’ll call them “Pinterest Posts”.

Our first Pinterest post is about making your own Febreze which I found via Fake-It Frugal.

I bought some cheapy cheap fabric softener at Wal-mart for $2.89 and I always keep loads of baking soda around for multiple uses so making this was a snap! It was super easy, cheap and useful! I made some just moments ago and sprayed up the house. Now I am liking this home made stuff much more than the brand named Febreze. At first Febreze was this amazing cure all for stuffy, stale and gross smelling rooms. However, lately I’ve noticed that it’s turned into this overwhelming room perfume. Yick! This stuff I just made has made the rooms of the house smell fresh, clean with only a hint of a lavender smell (due to the lavender scented fabric softener I chose).

You can find the exact recipe and instructions on the website I provided above. Let me know if you used it and if you agree with me! 🙂 Enjoy!

Have you read the about?

Well if you’re trying to get to know the author of this blog, then the about page will tell you a lot! It does leave out of few things but all in good time my charming readers! My blog is mainly to share the strange things that seem to happen in my life, the lives of people I know, and impart my young wisdom to the masses lol. Mostly this wisdom is just about the things that I know and my view point on the matter. I also plan on sharing about the things that I love; art, movies  , games, cooking, and more!

Let us not forget, I am a stay at home mother.  I will often share things about her and our relationship. I may be biased, but I find this little girl to be an amazing child! Taylor is 5 years old now and goes to pre-school. She is quite the “tom boy” and a little bit of a nerd too (just like her mommy and daddy).

So for now I would like to extend a very warm welcome to any new readers and enjoy! Tonight I’m going to be sharing a very delicious recipe by yours truly; Taco Casserole! Stay tuned.
